Nykole Gonzalez Psy.D.

Biography:
Nykole Gonzalez completed her postdoctoral residency in Neuropsychology at Northshore Neurosciences. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Erie Psychological Consortium, where she fulfilled supervised clinical training in an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, outpatient private practice, and community mental health setting conducting cognitive screeners, neuropsychological evaluations, cognitive and emotional assessment of refugees, as well as, brief psychotherapy.
In her postdoctoral residency, Dr. Gonzalez focused on acquiring additional training in the neuropsychological assessment, psychotherapeutic treatment , and consultation with individuals demonstrating a broad spectrum of medical and psychiatric illnesses. As a Spanish-speaking professional, she is also interested in issues related to diversity and multicultural competency in the evaluation of individuals with English as a second language.
​Originally from Puerto Rico, Dr. Gonzalez earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Washington D.C. Prior to her doctorate, Dr. Gonzalez received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology with minor degrees in sociology and cognitive sciences from the University of Central Florida. She received her Master's of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Northern Virginia. She has received clinical training in several outpatient mental health settings and private practices. She is a current member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.
