Elizabeth Stroup MSW, LCSW

Biography:

Elizabeth Stroup earned her undergraduate degree from Mercyhurst College and her Masters in SocialWork from Edinboro University. Her graduate training was completed through Sarah Reed Children’s Center and Safe Harbor Behavioral Health. She obtained her Clinical License in Social Work in 2006.

She has worked in the behavioral health and hospital settings. Through her work in behavioral health she specialized in working with children and their families on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has participated in various speaking engagements and presentations on Autism and therapy. She also provided individual and group therapy to individuals with managing anxiety, depression, healthy relationships, as well as other diagnoses. She has spent many years working in a hospital setting on a Palliative Care team. Elizabeth was able to assist patients and families in identifying goals for their health care while providing brief counseling on end of life issues and bereavement. She assisted in providing education to neuro residents, new graduate nurses, and other medical staff on the topics of palliative care and end of life issues.
