Renee DeMatteis
2nd Year Psychology Resident
Biography:
Renee DeMatteis is currently a second-year resident at Northshore Neurosciences. Dr. DeMatteis is an Erie, PA, native who returned home after she earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Florida School of Professional Psychology at National Louis University in Tampa, FL. She attended Westminster College where she received her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Psychology. While obtaining her doctorate degree, she received clinical training in several outpatient/inpatient mental health settings, nursing homes, and medical private practices. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Erie Psychological Consortium, where she had supervised clinical training in an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, outpatient private practice, and community mental health setting conducting cognitive screeners, neuropsychological evaluations, psychotherapy. Dr. DeMatteis obtained additional training in Hamilton Ontario, at an acquired brain injury rehabilitation hospital where she received supervised clinical training in the treatment and assessment of traumatic brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury.
In her postdoctoral residency, Dr. DeMatteis is focusing on furthering her training in neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy of individuals. Additionally, she desires to obtain training with adults and older adults with a variety of medical and psychiatric illnesses.
